Exploring new horizons, lands and celebrating the beauties that mother nature has gifted us. Searching for and honouring cultures and traditions, from the well known to the undiscovered. Believing that by embracing the world, we can accomplish the most important mission: the journey within ourselves.
This was the same time period with my article from ‘My Adventure Tragedy #3’ except this is about diving. Other then to explore the underwater world in Yapen Islands Regency, it was also to shoot my traveling programme called Pelesir.
Ambai Island is part of the Yapen Islands Regency in Papua. We arrived at Ambai to cover the local cultural party – there were traditional dances and local theatre that was performed on sea. We were standing on the wooden bridge pier and was on the process of shooting for one of my traveling programme called Pelesir. It was such an interesting scene where the locals perform a theatrical story about ‘The Abducted Slave’. The talents were performing at the sea on traditional boats and they continued they’re act climbing up to the wooden bridge pier to where we were standing.
It was fun muck diving at Lembeh Island which is popular for. You may see nudi branches and pygmy seahorses over there. I was shooting for my TV travel programme called Pelesir. We were working together with a dive resort. So, the dive instructor took us around underwater with a small underwater writing slate so he can tell us and the TV audience about the sea biota around the diving spot. When covering a TV show sometimes it might take a little longer then it takes so we had a briefing before we enter the sea to hope for a smooth process.
I would like to share my adventure tragedy events. This is not to brag or anything else. This will just be my remembrance since the many uncountable moments that I have carved through adventures that I might forget in the future. So, here I write it down and I will post it one by one just so I will not forget this valuable experience and hoping that you would learn from my experiences too.
Tanjung Setia Beach, Lampung
I was done shooting for one of my episodes for Pelesir (Travelling Programme) where we were covering about the local kids surfing in Tanjung Setia Beach, Lampung.
